On behalf of the entire Scientific Committee, it is our great pleasure to warmly welcome you to the Joint International Giardia and Cryptosporidium Conference (IGCC) and International Conference on Anaerobic Protists (ICAP), to be held in the beautiful city of Bern, Switzerland, from the 12th to the 15th of July 2027.
For the very first time, this unique joint meeting will bring together the parasitology community researching all anaerobic protists, including Giardia, Entamoeba, Trichomonas, Microsporidia, Cryptosporidium, Blastocystis and more. It is a wonderful opportunity to share exciting discoveries, exchange innovative ideas, foster collaborations, and collectively advance our understanding of these important parasites that impact human and animal health worldwide.
Bern, with its rich history and inspiring atmosphere, will provide the perfect backdrop for vibrant scientific discussions and networking with peers from across the globe. We encourage you to engage fully in the plenary sessions, breakout sessions and informal interactions designed to spark creativity and promote interdisciplinary approaches.
Whether you are a seasoned researcher, an early-career scientist, or a student, your participation is invaluable to the success of this conference. Together, we will celebrate the progress to date and chart the future directions of anaerobic protist research.
